“Farewell, Mr. Haffman” masterfully guides audiences through the world of Vichy, France, where lives are irrevocably shaped by war and the black market. “Karaoke” (2022)

“Four Winters” (2022)
More than 25,000 Jewish partisans fought back against the Nazis and their collaborators from deep within the forests of WWII’s Eastern Europe, Ukraine and Belarus. “My Neighbor Adolf” (2022)
“My Neighbor Adolf” is a bittersweet comedy about a lonely Holocaust survivor who suspects his new German neighbor is Adolf Hitler. When no one believes him, he embarks on a mission to find the evidence. But, in order to gather evidence, he will need to be closer to his neighbor than he would like. So close that the two could almost become friends. In English, German, Yiddish and Spanish with English subtitles. Faculty/Staff: $6. Students: $4.

“Hummus Full Trailer” (2022)
Three very different shipping containers are mistakenly mixed up resulting in a scramble to find the correct trailer. The result is a colorful and hilarious story about a mix of folks who discover each other’s secrets all while trying to keep a wedding on track, hitmen away and flowers alive. “SHTTL” (2023)
“SHTTL” is the story of the inhabitants of a Yiddish Ukrainian village at the border of Poland 24 hours before the Nazi invasion. The set — a reconstruction of a traditional “Shtetl” — was to be turned into a museum following the film but has since been destroyed in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Faculty/Staff: $6. Exhibitions
MFA Thesis Exhibition
This annual exhibition consists of the culminating thesis projects created by the six students graduating in May from the three-year Master of Fine Arts program in the Department of Art, Art History and Design.

Spotlight Exhibit: “Hagadah shel Pesaḥ le-zekher ha-Shoʼah — Pessach Haggadah in Memory of the Holocaust”
Visit Rare Books & Special Collections to see an exhibit in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah). The exhibit presents three leaves from an illustrated edition of Pessach Hagaddah, a Jewish ritual text used during Passover family meal. It was commissioned in memory of 6 million Jewish people who perished in Europe during the Holocaust.

ND Band Commencement Concert
This performance marks the final time that senior band members will play at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center and is a preview of the band’s international tour program. Selections include wind band classics, orchestral transcriptions, jazz tunes and traditional Notre Dame favorites! Free but ticketed.

Awards and Competitions
The Tri-Military Commissioning Ceremony
The Tri-Military Commissioning Ceremony is the pinnacle event of a cadet’s ROTC career. During the ceremony, graduating cadets take the oath of office, which marks their appointment as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy or Marines. Maj. Gen. Austin Renforth, of the U.S. Marine Corps, will be the distinguished guest speaker. Free but ticketed.

Application for 2023-24 Graduate Justice Fellowship
If your scholarship considers questions of justice broadly conceived from any disciplinary perspective, apply for a year-long, paid fellowship facilitated by the Center for Social Concerns. Justice Fellows will work with invited scholars and leaders from the University and beyond to sharpen research plans through interdisciplinary dialogue and workshops. The deadline is 11:45 p.m. Thursday, June 1.

Graduates: Don’t Lose Access to Your ND Files After You Graduate
Your Notre Dame NetID will be deactivated 60 days after you graduate. Be sure to transfer the files and other resources you want to keep from your Notre Dame account to a personal account. This includes your data in Google Drive, Gmail, Adobe and elsewhere, and must be completed before your account is disabled.

Reminder: Sustainability Office Move-Out Tips
Interested in how to responsibly donate, recycle or landfill during move-out? The Sustainability Office and Building Services have got you covered. New this year, donation carts will be available inside the residence halls for collecting smaller items, like clothes. Larger donations, such as futons, must still be placed outside near Goodwill signs. For more tips and info, visit green.nd.edu/move-out/.
Reminder: Dome Regilding
For the first time in nearly two decades, the Golden Dome atop the University’s Main Building will be regilded. The process of adding a new layer of gold leaf will occur over the course of approximately five months beginning immediately after Commencement Weekend. In addition, the upper tower of the Main Building will be cleaned and repainted. The project will begin with the installation of an extensive scaffold system on Monday, May 22, and is targeted to be completed by mid-October.
