Summer Film School closes with an analysis of sound. WALL-E is the last robot left on an uninhabitable Earth ... until a sleek and shapely probe arrives. Smitten, WALL-E embarks on his greatest adventure yet as he follows EVE across the galaxy. Arrive at 6 p.m. for the lecture. The screening begins at 7 p.m. followed by a discussion. Fac/Staff: $6. Volunteer for the Skills Mentor Program
The Center for Student Support and Care invites faculty and staff to volunteer as part of its Skills Mentor program. Students referred to the program will work individually with a mentor to cultivate a variety of skills, including time management, organization and relationship building both in and outside of the classroom. If you are interested in learning more or becoming a mentor to help Notre Dame students enhance skills and confidence to successfully manage academic and life challenges, please complete the application form. Safety, Parking and Traffic

ND Alert IPPA Indoor/Outdoor Speaker Test
The Office of Campus Safety will conduct an ND Alert test of the public address system at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, July 28. Those on campus will notice the activation of the Internet Protocol Public Address (IPPA) system, which runs through loudspeakers on fire panels and dedicated hardware and software. This test will be heard both indoors and outdoors.

Active Violence and Emergency Action Planning
The Notre Dame Police Department will have active violence and emergency action planning training for faculty, staff and students. Faculty and staff will receive an email for the training through Endeavor, beginning this summer. Learn about support services, additional in-person training and when to contact NDPD.
This short video addresses campus safety in an active violence situation.

Tech Tips, Tools and IT Maintenance

IT Maintenance Begins July 30
Beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 30, through noon Sunday, July 31, Office of Information Technologies systems engineers will perform a variety of planned maintenance activities and upgrades. Many IT services may be unavailable for some or all of the maintenance period.
