Do you have one thing in your workspace that inspires you?
For Michele Talos, it's an everyday office tool with a twist — her “corkscrew” stapler. Working as an office coordinator for the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, she’s a wine enthusiast in her free time.
Her interest in wine sprouted from a love of dry red wines and visiting local wineries. “The corkscrew was given to me by a co-worker because I love wine. I have fallen in love with dry red wines, intrigued by their different tastes.”
The corkscrew stapler doesn’t work as an actual stapler, but it does keep her firmly grounded in both worlds, sitting at her desk where she works to keep the day-to-day operations of the office humming and manages student workers. “Our professors do amazing things here. It’s a privilege to support their work.”
