UPAA Print Show
Ahead of its annual symposium, hosted this year by Senior University Photographer Matt Cashore, view the work of members of the University Photographers’ Association of America (UPAA). The unique metal prints were made possible by UPAA partner Saal Digital. They document the variety of environments represented in the UPAA, including urban and rural campuses from all corners of the country and internationally. The smallest campus represented in the show is Bates College, a 1,600-enrollment college in Maine and the largest is the University of Wisconsin with more than 50,000 students.

MFA Thesis Exhibition
This annual exhibition consists of the culminating thesis projects created by the six students graduating in May from the three-year Master of Fine Arts program in the Department of Art, Art History and Design.

Spotlight Exhibit: “New York City Surrealism and Texas Progressivism in the 1940s”
Visit Rare Books & Special Collections to see an exhibit highlighting two new acquisitions of limited runs of two American periodicals from the 1940s, New York’s “View” and “The Texas Spectator.” Each captures part of the zeitgeist of the 1940s — the avant-garde and surrealist art scene from 1940 through 1947 and Texas politics between 1945 and 1948.

Closures, Limited Hours and Cancellations
Alert: Hesburgh Library West Entrance Closed
The Hesburgh Library west entrance will be closed through Wednesday, June 21, for a mat system installation in the vestibule and new concrete on the exterior of the entrance. Please use a different entrance during this time.
Summer Hours at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center
Through Monday, July 3: Ticket office windows will be closed. Phone calls will be taken Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. Messages will be returned within 48 business hours.
Wednesday, July 5, through Friday, Aug. 11: Ticket office windows will be open Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m.
The ticket office will resume normal business hours on Monday, Aug. 14.

Building Services Blood Drive
Join Building Services as they team up with the South Bend Medical Foundation to help address summer blood shortages. A cookout is provided for those who donate! Please register with South Bend Medical Foundation at https://givebloodnow.com. Walk-up appointments are also accepted. The SBMF will offer a free zoo pass and $15 gift certificate to all donors. Summer Language Tutoring: French, Italian and Spanish
Summer language peer tutoring will begin on Monday, June 12, for those taking beginning and intermediate courses in French, Italian and Spanish languages. All summer peer tutoring is conducted remotely. Refer to the Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures peer tutoring website for guidelines and to set up your appointment with a peer tutor.

Notre Dame Children’s Choir Sings for Local Liturgies
The University of Notre Dame Children’s Choir, celebrating its 10th year, sings for Masses, Vespers and Evensong in local churches in preparation for its national tour to Virginia and Washington, D.C. The NDCC tour choir performs service music and leads in worship for the following liturgies during the week of its Summer 2023 Choir Camp. Children interested in auditioning may visit sma.nd.edu.
