Film: “Psycho” (1960)
The third film in the Summer Film School series, “Psycho,” focuses on film editing. Easily Alfred Hitchcock’s most successful film, it garnered critical acclaim (in America, at least) upon its release with four Oscar nominations. Arrive at 6 p.m. for a pre-show lecture. The screening begins at 7 p.m. followed by a discussion. Fac/Staff: $6. Students: $4.

Merrimans’ Playhouse @ the Snite Museum: Chad McCullough Trio
Spend a summer evening outside grooving to jazz. The Chad McCullough Trio builds on an already long-established musical camaraderie with new compositions loosely based on the works and musical concepts of French composer and ornithologist Olivier Messiaen.

Stress and Cognitions Research Opportunity
The Department of Psychology’s ASSIST Lab is recruiting undergrads for an online study (approximately one hour) focused on how stress and stressful life events impact thoughts and feelings, including experiences like depression and suicidality. Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium
The Notre Dame community and general public are invited to attend the annual undergraduate research symposium to learn about the amazing research projects undergraduate students have been working on this summer. Students will present topics in business, engineering, the humanities and sciences and more during one of two, hour-long poster sessions.

Douglas Road Construction Moves to Phase 2
While the intersection of Douglas and Ironwood roads will close beginning Monday, July 18, Douglas Road between Twyckenham and Ironwood will not reopen that day. Work crews will install the final pavement surface to that stretch of Douglas Road this week, which will delay the opening to Monday, July 25. When it reopens, access to the Warren Golf Course and to the neighborhood south of Warren will be easier.
Thank you for your patience as Douglas Road is widened to four lanes, which will ultimately improve commute times for those who live east and north of campus.
