Wicked Afternoon with Notre Dame Volleyball
Don’t miss the volleyball team’s final home game for a wicked afternoon. In honor of the new film Wicked, the team will wear pink and green uniforms. Fans who arrive early can pick their witch, choosing either a green LED glowstick or pink LED wand. Admission is free to the public.

Closures, Limited Hours, and Cancellations
Hesburgh Library Thanksgiving Hours and Finals Hours
Hesburgh Library will have limited hours during Thanksgiving break. It will close at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, and will remain closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29. It will reopen Saturday, November 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The library will begin finals hours (open 24/7) at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, December 1, and stay open through 11:00 p.m. Friday, December 20.

Sign up to receive a daily email with an image of a crèche, or Nativity scene, from a different part of the world, accompanied by a reflective description and a brief prayer, from the first Sunday of Advent (December 1) through the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord (January 12).

Educational and Research Opportunities
Computer Vision Research Laboratory—24EB Research Study Participation Opportunity
This study is open to Notre Dame students, faculty, and staff who are between the ages of 18 and 65. Participation involves using a web application on your laptop/desktop system (using Chrome) to capture face images and videos in two sessions. The participant must be on campus or connected with VPN to access the server. Participants will receive two $10 gift cards after completing two sessions that should be at least 24 hours apart. Review the instructions and the consent form. Please complete the study by Friday, December 13.
Teen Development Study
Help researchers evaluate a mental health intervention designed for teens. Potential participants include parents of teens ages 13–17, or teens struggling with their mental health. Compensation up to $220 for teens and $150 for parents. Open the QR code on the poster for more information.

Join a discussion led by a panel of experts from Afghanistan and Uzbekistan—who will analyze critical issues such as Afghanistan’s regional economic projects since the Taliban came to power in 2021 and new investments from South and Central Asian nations and China—and explore the challenges and opportunities ahead for regional stability.

Talk: “Is the Justice Cascade Over?”
Kathryn Sikkink once claimed that we have entered an age of accountability with a “justice cascade” of human rights prosecutions, but her most recent data show that there has been a marked decline in human rights prosecutions worldwide since 2010. In this talk, Sikkink, the Ryan Family Professor of Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, will discuss the changes, especially the retrocession of liberal democracies.

Safety, Parking, and Traffic
Douglas Road Sidewalk Closure
As part of the Northern Edge feeder relocation, the southern sidewalk of Douglas Road east of US 31/933, between the pedestrian crossing near St. Michael’s Drive and where the sidewalk turns east toward Brother Andrew Drive, will be closed to all traffic beginning the morning of Monday, November 18. The sidewalk should be opened by the afternoon of Wednesday, November 27. There will be large equipment and open trenches during work hours and the walkway should be avoided. Detour signs will be placed to indicate a route around the closure. Review the aerial map for details.
