Safety, Parking and Traffic
Road Access to Notre Dame Stadium and the Snite
On Wednesday, May 29, a section of St. Joseph Drive near O’Shaughnessy Hall will be temporarily converted to a one-way traffic pattern to accommodate a crane. Faculty and staff are encouraged to seek alternate routes and/or allow extra time for access as congestion is expected. Larger vehicles, such as box trucks, must seek alternate routes as they will not be permitted south of Cavanaugh Drive on this day. The Bulla-Library-Snite campus shuttle will continue operating.
Holy Cross Drive Closure: Gate Changes, Alternate Route
Portions of Holy Cross Drive between the Main Gate and Dorr Road will be closed Monday, June 3, through the first week of July. During the road closure, no vehicle traffic will be permitted beyond the Main Gate. To accommodate traffic that will be rerouted to the East Gate, the Main Gate and East Gate hours will change. The Main Gate will be staffed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the East Gate will be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Faculty and staff who typically use the Main or East Gates are encouraged to use their hang tag or Irish1Card at the gates on St. Joseph Drive and Dorr Road for quicker, more convenient access, avoiding potential congestion at the East Gate. Summer construction projects get underway soon on campus.
