Spotlight Exhibit—“Bibliomania: The Library of Sir Thomas Phillipps”
Sir Thomas Phillipps amassed the largest manuscript collection of his time, including more than 60,000 manuscripts and 20,000 printed works. His will—later contested—mandated his collection never be dispersed, nor any Catholic be permitted to view it. This exhibit features five manuscripts that have made their way to the University of Notre Dame.

Spring Exhibit—“Tragedies of War: Images of WWII in Print Visual Culture”
Commemorating the end of World War II (1939–45), the exhibit showcases more than 40 works on paper—including posters, maps, propaganda ephemera, illustrated books, photographs, and firsthand accounts—and explores diverse themes including from Nazi racial ideology, the Holocaust, children in war, resistance, liberation, and memories of war.

The Met Opera Live in HD: Salome (Strauss)
Strauss’s Salome returns to the Met in a bold new production—the first in 20 years. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts, with Elza van den Heever as the fierce antiheroine. Claus Guth’s Victorian-inspired staging brings psychological depth to this gripping, one-act opera. $23 adults, $16 children/students.

Closures, Limited Hours, and Cancellations
RecSports Summer Operations
RecSports has shifted to modified summer hours. The Smith Center for Recreational Sports and Climbing Wall will remain open with modified operations for the summer. Three of the four available studios and all the basketball courts will be offline until the start of the 2025 fall semester. The Rockne Memorial and the North Dome of the Joyce Center will be closed for the summer. St. Joseph Beach will also be closed unless for pre-approved events through RecSports.

Notre Dame Athletics 2025 Summer Camps
Experience the tradition and spirit of Notre Dame Athletics this summer. Register your children to participate in ND Athletics Camps and unlock their potential under the guidance of the ND coaching staff and student-athletes. All sessions are held at the varsity athletic facilities, where campers will play where the Irish play. Secure their spot and elevate their game.
Camps run from Saturday, June 7, through Sunday, Aug. 3 (on various days of the week), at varsity athletic facilities
Registration for Summer Online Courses
Are you interested in enhancing your skills or diving into big ideas this summer? Registration for summer online courses is open. Classes are credit-bearing and meet once or twice a week in live online sessions, typically held in the evenings, and your employee educational benefits can be used to help pay for courses for you (or for your children).

Safety, Parking, and Traffic
Wilson Drive Construction Continues
Beginning Monday, May 19, a section of Bulla Road will be closed through Friday, May 30. Access to Wilson Drive and Leahy Drive will remain open; however, drivers should expect congestion at the intersection.
Bike Roundup and Summer Bike Tags
Faculty and staff, take your bike or push scooter with you if leaving campus for the summer. If you will use a bike/scooter on campus this summer, go to Hammes Mowbray Hall to pick up a red tag to place on the handlebars. Otherwise, your bike/scooter will be removed in NDPD’s bike roundup starting Tuesday, May 27. Faculty and staff do not need to pick up a tag if their bike is already registered with NDPD.
