The Main Gate will be staffed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the East Gate will be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Faculty and staff who typically use the Main or East Gates are encouraged to use their hang tag or Irish1Card at the gates on St. Joseph Drive and Dorr Road for quicker, more convenient access, avoiding potential congestion at the East Gate. Summer construction projects get underway on campus.

Tech Tips, Tools and IT Maintenance

Canvas Tip: Panorama Accessibility Checker Available in All Canvas Course Sites
Providing all students with equal, complete access to learning content is invaluable. The Panorama accessibility application appears in all new Canvas course sites to provide instructors insight into how to make content easier for students to use.

Canvas Tip: Canvas’ Discussions Gets an Update this Summer
The Canvas Discussions tool will be updated in all Canvas courses on Saturday, July 20. Because this update will happen while many summer classes are in season, OIT encourages you to enable the “Discussions/Announcements Redesign” before your course begins to minimize disruptions. When the redesign is enforced, all existing discussions will show in the new user interface and will have new functionality available to them.

Keep up to date on new hires and colleagues celebrating service anniversaries. Obituaries and memorial information may be found at In Memory. Please contact askHR at 631-5900 to submit obituary and memorial updates.
