StoryWalk
Check out the newest StoryWalk in Michiana! The Raclin Murphy Museum of Art has partnered with the St. Joseph County Public Library to bring this exciting national project to the Charles B. Hayes Family Sculpture Park. StoryWalk combines experiencing nature with reading together as a family. Free and open to all.

“Equal Forces”: The Sculpture and Photography of Kenneth Snelson
This is the final week to view the first-of-its-kind retrospective of artwork from Kenneth Snelson (1927-2016), among the past half-century’s most original and inventive artists. Widely acclaimed as a sculptor and photographer, Snelson had an inquisitive disposition and technical brilliance that led to his extensive research into atomic structure and the awarding of five U.S. patents.

Take a journey through space created by the objects and mapmakers who used them in Rare Books & Special Collections’ spring exhibit curated by David T. Gura, curator of ancient and medieval manuscripts.

Behold God’s Love: A Eucharistic Musical
The McGrath Institute for Church Life is proud to sponsor the world premiere of “Behold God’s Love: A Eucharistic Musical.” Written by Carolyn Pirtle in honor of the National Eucharistic Revival, this three-act musical invites audiences to encounter the beauty of the Eucharist anew through imaginative portrayals of stories from Scripture. Free but ticketed.

Hesburgh Library to Close Early July 2
As part of the 14th-floor renovation, the electrical system in the Hesburgh Library will be shut off and the building will be closed at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 2. Normal operating hours will resume at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 3. Visit library.nd.edu for the latest updates.

Summer Film School
Summer Film School is a great way to learn how to recognize and analyze the unique conventions movies use to have flat, giant images on a wall that make us laugh, weep and cheer. This year’s series, broken into four classes, focuses on the world of tomorrow. The classes will ask and answer how films, throughout various points in history, have imagined and created the future. $12 course fee includes a 30-minute lecture, screening and post-film discussion.

Sign Up to Become a Host Family!
Notre Dame Global is looking for host families who are interested in a variety of international program support. Opportunities include hosting family dinners throughout the summer and semester, hosting an international student for a short-term program (two to three weeks) or hosting a visiting international exchange student in your home for a semester. Hosting is a great opportunity for you and your family! Register by Friday, July 5.

The Notre Dame community now has access to Sage Explorer, a Hesburgh Libraries multimedia-rich resource with more than 40,000 pieces of content covering all stages of learning and research across the social sciences. Users can access content from anywhere by visiting the libraries’ databases and searching Sage Explorer. Learn more.
