AAHD Gallery Exhibition: New Faces
The AAHD Gallery presents New Faces, an exhibition celebrating the creative talents of first-year MFA students in studio art and design. This showcase features exceptional works by Sara Abdolmotallebi, Alejandro Mejía Andrade, Emma Brooks, Grace Gao, and Claire Murphy. The exhibition will run until Friday, January 10.

Sacred Art Visio Divina
Visio divina, or “sacred seeing,” is an ancient form of Christian prayer in which we allow our hearts and imaginations to prayerfully and meditatively enter into an image. All are welcome for guided sessions of visio divina on the first Tuesday of every month with sacred art in the Mary, Queen of Families Chapel.

Artful Storytime
Designed to help children develop their visual and verbal literacy skills, Artful Storytime is a partnership with the St. Joseph County Public Library. Each session includes stories, songs, artwork explorations, art-making, and more.

Art Social in the Afternoon: A Creative Gathering
Get creative and connect with friends (and make new ones) during this drop-in program just for adults.

Open Studio
Join the Raclin Murphy Museum for Open Studio, a monthly drop-in program designed to help you connect with your creative side. This program encourages participants to engage—in guided or freestyle ways—with materials inspired by the themes, techniques, and media of a featured work of art. This season, the focus will be on Epiphanic Mass (Epitaph) by Julie Mehretu.

Fischoff Chamber Music Academy Performance
Experience dynamic instrumental performances from talented local junior high and high school musicians who are part of the prestigious Fischoff Academy. These performances are designed to be casual and to enhance your experience throughout all of the museum galleries. Groups will perform in the atrium, with very limited seating available.

Public Domain Day 2025: Music Contest
Public Domain Day happens on January 1 of each year when new works enter the public domain. Create a musical project highlighting some of the new material available in the public domain. Some project examples include mash-ups, remixes, oral histories over one or more songs, original music with public domain sampling, and playlists around a theme. Learn more.

Annual Black Excellence Awards
Student Government is now accepting nominations for Notre Dame’s Annual Black Excellence Awards. Celebrate Black students, faculty, and staff who exemplify: Excellence (outstanding achievements), Impact on the Black Community (positive, measurable influence), and MLK Jr.’s Values (service, justice, leadership). Submit nominations before the Sunday, January 19, deadline and help honor those who inspire our community!

Justice and Asia Grants
The Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies seeks to fund projects as part of its thematic cluster “Justice and Asia.” Proposals can be submitted by ND faculty and undergraduate and graduate students. Individual and group submissions are eligible. All applications are due Friday, January 17.
Summer Study Abroad Programs for Children of Faculty and Staff Reopen
Undergraduates enrolled at other US universities are eligible to apply for Notre Dame summer study abroad programs that are operated at ND Global locations. Children of Notre Dame faculty and staff can use their summer education benefit for up to three credits of Notre Dame undergraduate tuition. The applications are due Saturday, February 1.
