The Rally team, composed of colleagues from 10 distinct divisions, colleges, and schools, worked with campus partners last spring to host more than 2,500 newly admitted students, from all 50 states and 60 countries. Formerly known as Admitted Student Days, the event was rebranded this year to The Rally, and programming was reworked to showcase Notre Dame’s core mission of educating the heart and mind.
In an effort to think as an institution, this cross-functional team welcomed admitted students and their families in a distinctly Notre Dame way. Admitted students engaged in academic programming, fun and exciting community-building activities, residence life experiences, and faith-based discussions featuring Notre Dame’s distinct Catholic mission.
As a result, Notre Dame’s yield for the fall 2024 class was the highest in the University’s history since the advent of the Common Application. With record-setting attendance, the Rally team displayed flexibility and creativity to offer numerous unique experiences such as residence hall room displays, introductions to South Bend artisans and small-business owners, and a spotlight on Commit Alley, featuring personalized Lego figures, social media photo opportunities, and a confetti celebration.
Congratulations to The Rally team for demonstrating the University value of Leadership in Excellence and illustrating the power of teamwork and thinking as an institution.
