Icom 2557 Ndworks Weekly Final

This year, faculty and staff members have the opportunity to elect to receive their W-2 electronically rather than to receive a printed statement through the mail. The benefits of opting-in are as follows:

  • Earlier access to your W-2 before the paper statements are mailed on January 31, 2021
  • Elimination of the chance of your paper statement being lost in the mail
  • Greater protection of the privacy of your financial information
  • Convenient access to your W-2 anytime through InsideND

To opt-in to receive an electronic W-2 statement
Just complete the electronic consent on or before December 31, 2020. Go into InsideND and search for “W-2” or “W-2 Electronic Consent.” Click on the "W-2 Electronic Consent" task and read the full electronic W-2 consent disclosure. To continue, check the box under “My Choice” and click “Submit.” If you ever change your mind and wish to continue to receive a printed statement by mail, deselect the box and click “Submit.”

To access your W-2 online
Go into InsideND and search for “W-2 Tax Form.” Click on the “W-2 Tax Form” task and enter the year for the W-2 you are looking for and the last 4 digits of your social security number. You then will have access to the W-2 in a format that can be used for filing paper versions of federal and state tax returns. Read more.

If you would prefer to receive your W-2 through the mail, you do not need to take any action, and you will receive a paper copy in the mail. If you have any questions about your W-2, please contact the Payroll Services Help Desk at 631-7575 or via email at payroll@nd.edu
