The People with Hope to Bring Initiative represents an outstanding six-year cross-departmental initiative dedicated to advancing student mental health and supporting the well-being of residential hall staff. Bringing together leaders from student health, residential life, campus ministry, academic research, and psychology, the committee developed a comprehensive framework grounded in Holy Cross values to foster student flourishing and combat caregiver burnout. Key outcomes of their sustained collaboration include conducting annual health screenings for over 8,000 students, distributing nearly 5,000 Red Folder crisis response guides to faculty and staff, and establishing a new Time Away initiative for medical leaves. Through rigorous evaluation and institutional strategy, the team's efforts have significantly expanded early mental health intervention and strengthened Notre Dame's community of care. Congratulations to the People with Hope to Bring Initiative for winning the Presidential Team Irish Award!
