The first home football game of the season is this Saturday, Sept. 14. The Fighting Irish face New Mexico at 2:30 p.m. in Notre Dame Stadium.

Parking Services emailed students, faculty and staff Thursday, Sept. 12 to remind everyone to be aware of the increased traffic and parking changes on campus Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, the home football weekend starts with the  pep rally at 6 p.m. outside the Rockne Memorial building. As football guests arrive on campus Friday, there will be traffic delays and parking congestion as early as 2 p.m. in all parking lots on the south side of campus.

On Saturday, all parking lots on campus except the Lake and Bulla student lots will be used for football fans starting at 6 a.m. Parking Services asks the campus community to remove vehicles from affected campus parking lots prior to 6 a.m. that day. An increase in traffic and one-way traffic patterns will start as early as 9 a.m. Saturday and will be in full effect by 11 a.m. for all major roads coming to campus.

As traffic and parking will be more challenging than usual on Friday afternoon and Saturday, the campus community is asked to plan accordingly. It will take extra time to navigate around campus and, depending on your circumstances,  to park and get to destinations. Game day parking information can be found at gameday.nd.edu
