Notre Dame faculty and staff are critical to the success of the United Way in our community. In fact, 15 percent of all United Way campaign dollars raised in St. Joseph County come from University colleagues by way of the employee campaign, running from Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Dec. 1.
Gwen O’Brien, director of community relations for the University of Notre Dame, and Lauren Smyth, vice president of mission advancement for the United Way of St. Joseph County, talk about why giving is so important, who your donations benefit and how both the United Way and the University are making it easy to make an impact.
