According to focus group and survey research conducted by Human Resources (HR), two main reasons prospective faculty and staff are drawn to work at Notre Dame are the compensation and the comprehensive benefits. One goal of the new HR website, launched earlier this month, was to simplify the University’s total rewards package in a way that considers personal well-being and financial stability so faculty and staff candidates can focus on what matters most. Improved compensation tool
In seeking to attract and retain the best talent, the University offers competitive compensation and rewards to recognize top performers for their outstanding contributions to the University. The new benefits and compensation section has been updated with a market reference range tool that is easier to navigate and mobile-friendly.
Notre Dame offers some distinctly valuable benefits, which are more clearly positioned on the new website. These include excellent medical, dental and vision insurance, an on-campus wellness center and pharmacy, impressive retirement packages, children’s tuition benefits, and generous time off, leaves and holiday policies.
Additionally, Notre Dame’s well-rounded benefits include other programs such as accident, critical illness, life and international travel insurance. Those wishing to advance their careers can utilize employee-specific educational benefits. The University also offers exceptional work and life benefits that are designed to address the holistic needs of employees and their families, including child or elder care resources and other resources for personal well-being. Don’t forget the knowledge hub for resources!
HR has a toolkit to help navigate the benefits and compensation landscape. These have been grouped into a special “Benefits Toolkit” section on the knowledge hub. The section includes benefit vendor links and contacts, leave management resources, an educational benefits guide, qualifying events and holidays for 2021.
