Kara Palmer, director of administration in the Mendoza College of Business, was named the 2021 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation Mentor of the Year at the SHRM annual conference and expo held in Las Vegas. The award recognizes the important role strong mentors play in the development of others, including the next generation of employees. SHRM noted, "This year, we had several applications submitted, but [Kara's] nomination stood out as an example of the positive relationship both the mentor and mentee can have on one another."
