James L. Merz, the Frank M. Freimann Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering and a former vice president for graduate studies and research and dean of the Graduate School, died Wednesday, June 22.
A memorial Mass will be held for Merz at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. A social gathering will take place after Mass at Foley’s in O'Neill Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided and all are welcome.
