General Services now has a new, more efficient process for you to request support with an event or office move. As this team prepares to enter one of its busiest times of the year — with a ramp-up to Commencement and other spring events — its leadership is excited to elevate the customer experience for this annual event and happenings around campus.
“We believe our new request system will dramatically improve communication,” General Services Manager Zandy Eckrich says. “This system uses enhanced tools and specifically designated communication points to let you know how your project is moving along. It’s efficient, automated and built specifically to meet the needs of our client requests.”
Starting Monday, April 3, campus customers can submit requests by visiting the Work Order Request Portal and selecting the “event” or “departmental move” tiles. Users can also fill out the General Services Request Form directly, if they prefer.
Campus customers can enter requests from their desktop or mobile device for events like stage setup and large-scale Masses as well as all sizes of office or department moves. They can also revise or cancel a request using the General Services Request Form.
Prior to the April go-live date, General Services piloted the new system with some of its most frequent campus customers in both large-scale event support and small scale moves.
“Working with ND Innovates to update our process efficiently, we were able to successfully familiarize our most frequent partners with how to get the most out of the new process, as well as get some targeted feedback. We’re confident what we learned will make for an even more successful roll-out to the larger campus community,” Eckrich shared.
