The 2019 football season is in the books, and the Irish finished 10-2. Thanks to Notre Dame staff who worked Game Days, the Irish had winning performances off the field too. This season, Game Day Operations and the Office of Human Resources challenged all employees (part- and full-time) working home game Saturdays to sign up for the Game Day 10K Steps Challenge. Employees then tracked the number of steps they took on each home game Saturday this fall. The two goals of the challenge are to encourage staff members to reach 10,000 steps (5 miles) each home game Saturday and to recognize the hard work and dedication of the many campus groups that make Game Days happen at Notre Dame. The results are in and the stats are impressive.

By the Numbers:

- 166 individuals participated (representing over 70 different departments on campus)

- 10,975 steps per game, per person (average)

- 82 met the goal of 10,000 steps for each of the seven home games, or 70,000 steps

- 12,834,225 steps or close to 6,080 miles for the season
