Retiree Clara Cokewood, age 103, died Thursday, Aug. 27.
We contacted Mrs. Cokewood’s daughter, who told us her mother worked as a secretary in the Law School for about 15 years, and very much loved the Notre Dame campus. She especially enjoyed eating lunch by the lake. She retired in approximately 1977 (records are not readily available from that time.) Mrs. Cokewood was a member of St. Matthew’s Parish in South Bend, and moved to Florida to join her family around 2003.
Viewing and funeral will take place in Ocala, Florida, dates to be determined.
