Corby Hall
The reconstruction of Corby Hall will be completed by spring 2020. The new building will better support the needs of the Congregation of Holy Cross. Corby Hall is the on-campus residence and center of hospitality for the community of priests and brothers. (Photo above.)
Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes
The three-month beautification of the Grotto was completed in August. Workers removed the asphalt path and installed natural cut stone pavers. They also installed new memorial benches and replaced the narrow and uneven steps on the north side of the Grotto with wider steps that have railings on both sides.
McKenna Hall
The former McKenna Hall continues to be dismantled. The groundbreaking for the new McKenna Hall is expected later this fall. The building will open in the fall of 2021. The reconstruction will include a state-of-the-art conference center and housing for the Enrollment Division.
Irish Athletic Center
The 111,400-square-foot indoor athletics center is up and running. The soaring structure serves as an indoor practice facility for the football and men’s and women’s soccer programs. It may also play host to campus-wide and community events, sports camps, recreational and club sports, pep rallies, game day hospitality and other programming.
Baumer Hall
The recently opened Baumer Hall houses 251 men and boasts amenities such as a chapel, exercise space, laundry, study rooms, a kitchen and a two-story lounge. The residents of Dillon Hall, which is currently under renovation, are housed there.
Dillon Hall
The largest residential hall on campus is undergoing a full renovation during the 2019-20 academic year. During this time, the men of Dillon are living in Baumer. The renovations are part of the University’s long-range master plan to address the needs of each residence hall. (Not pictured.)
Johnson Family Hall
The newest undergraduate residence hall for women is expected to open in August 2020. The 68,000-square-foot hall will house 225 women with space for apartments for the rector, priest-in-residence and/or faculty-in-residence, as well as other hall staff. The building will have a community chapel, a formal reading room, study spaces, lounges and kitchens on every floor.
