The campus was busy this past weekend with the first home football game of the season, 9/11 observances and 2021-22 NDForum events. Fans, visitors, speakers, faculty, staff and students enjoyed favorable weather, good football and meaningful conversation.

Notre Dame Rugby took on the University of Michigan and won 34-10 on Friday.

The Fighting Irish played host to the Toledo Rockets in the home game season opener on Saturday, and prevailed in a close 32-29 win. Observances of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks took place before the game and during halftime, and other events took place on campus as well.

A fireside chat with NBC's Anne Thompson and U.S. Sen. Chris Coons, co-chair of the bipartisan Senate Climate Solutions Caucus, launched the Notre Dame Forum on Friday. This year's Notre Dame Forum focuses on the environmental threats posed by climate change and the costly economic, social and political disruption it brings.
