Jennie Brackett, assistant registrar, served as president of the Indiana Association of Collegiate Registrar and Admissions Officers for the 2017-2019 terms. Brackett handed over the gavel at the annual state conference in October in Indianapolis.

Kara Turner, assistant registrar, serves as president of the Association of University Summer Sessions (AUSS). Her term expires this October. The AUSS is a professional association of summer session administrators representing universities in the U.S. and Canada. She has been a member of the Time and Place Committee for the last 10 years and was appointed chair of the committee last October.

Katharine A. White, the Clare Boothe Luce Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, was selected as a participant in the National Science Foundation's 2019 Reintegrating Biology Jumpstart Workshop, held in December. The workshop had a competitive application process. A small group of multidisciplinary researchers was tasked with identifying exciting new research questions that require multidisciplinary approaches spanning all subdisciplines of biology.

Christina Wojtysiak, academic and veteran compliance specialist in the Office of the Registrar, served as president-elect of the Association of Indiana Administrators for Military-Connected Students for the 2018-2019 term. Wojtysiak took over as president of the association at the state conference in Indianapolis in October.
